Manifold web visualization with NETx BMS Clients

The embedded web server makes the NETx BMS Server a flexible platform for web based visualizations. All software components that you need to create your visualization are already included in the NETx BMS Server. The web engine only uses HTML and JavaScript for the visualization. So each device with standard web browser can serve as a so called BMS Client. The web based visualization is not limited to PC systems but can also be used on smartphones, tablets, touch panels or other embedded devices.

Versatile

Although BMS Clients are web based, they are able to provide extended and sophisticated visualizations. Besides standard elements like buttons, sliders and pictures, you can use extended control elements: showing past data point values (e.g. consumption values of smart meters) within the Historical Data Chart – definition of timers and events in the server-based calendar – Drag & Drop

Free app

For displaying a web based visualization, a standard web browser is sufficient. For the platforms iOS and Android we provide a special app (NETx Touch) for free. NETx Touch allows the visualization and control of a building via mobile devices with touchscreens. The app offers the following advantages:  location-independent control – simple configuration – automatic client search – configuration pages are secured with password – main/backup support

Reliable

NETx Touch offers the opportunity to integrate a web based visualization into a main/backup solution. The connection settings (address of main and backup server, name of NETx BMS Client definition, user name and password) can be configured and secured against modification by the end user permanently. An automatic client search function facilitates the configuration.

Architecture

All components you need for creating web based visualizations as well as NETx BMS Clients are included in the NETx BMS Server by default. The NETx BMS Server Studio is responsible for central management of visualization projects and clients. Within the Studio you can define numerous visualization projects. The creation of the projects is done within the included NETx BMS Client Editor. For using the visualization projects a NETx BMS Client definition has to be added for all used devices. Every NETx BMS Client definition is assigned to a visualization project. This assignment can be done and changed during runtime dynamically. Thanks to this architecture even large projects with hundreds of web based visualizations can be done and controlled in an easy and comfortable way.
